RECORD PARTICIPATION AT THE SIXTH PUERTA DE EUROPA INTERNATIONAL WEDDING FASHION EXHIBITION

Whilst the PUERTA DE EUROPA Bridal Exhibition staged its sixth edition in May 2008 in Madrid, the fair also provided the setting for a series of prestigious Spanish designers to present their creations for the second time. Thus, beauty, luxury and spectacle all played their part at the second edition of the "Puerta de Europa Wedding Fashion Show".

Both events, the PUERTA DE EUROPA International Bridal Exhibition and the Wedding Fashion Show, turned Madrid into the wedding fashion capital of Spain between 21st and 25th May. Over the first two days, a total of 19 designers presented their latest new ideas in bridal fashion, party gowns and cocktail attire for the year 2009 at the PUERTA DE EUROPA FASHION SHOW. On 21st May, visitors were able to view the collections of ANA TORRES, CHARO PERES, ISABEL ZAPARDIEZ, DUYOS, AGUSTIN TORRALBO, DEURALDE, DEVOTA & LOMBA, CABOTINE, GRACIA GALINDO and AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA. On 22nd May, all eyes were drawn to the collections of  JORGE TERRA, PETRO VALVERDE, MARIA ALEGRE, MARTIN PEREZ RIPOLL, MATILDE CANO, ELIO BERHANYER, NOVISSIMA, MERCEDES ALONSO and JAVIER LARRAINZAR.

International top models of the stature of Bar Rafaeli, Lily Collins (Phil Collins' daughter), Marina Jamieson, Arantxa Santamaría, Amalia Aresu Gª Obregón, Bárbara García, Elisabeth Reyes (Miss Spain 2006), Patricia Yurena Rodríguez (Miss Spain 2008), and the popular actress from the Spanish TV series "Sin tetas no hay paraíso", María Castro, paraded fashions created by the best designers in Spain at the Puerta de Europa Wedding Fashion Show.

The SIXTH PUERTA DE EUROPA INTERNATIONAL WEDDING FASHION EXHIBITION took place on 23rd, 24th and 25th May, featuring the participation of some 195 exhibitors and more than 380 Spanish and international brands specializing in bridal fashion, bridegroom attire, party-wear, First Communion attire, accessories and trade equipment. Throughout its three-day duration, this event brought together more than 11,000 professionals from the sector. The Puerta de Europa International Wedding Fashion Exhibition boosted its participation levels by 10% compared to last year, with 25% of the exhibitors taking part at the fair attending from abroad, and featuring brands from 13 different countries: Germany, Belgium, China, France, Italy, Holland, the Lebanon, the United Kingdom, Turkey, the USA, Portugal, Poland and Senegal.
